Life is a journey. Now, we have deeper faith in this. Isn’t literature, and everything related to it, a journey in its own presence?
2005 yılında bir yolculuk esnasında karar verdik önce Mühür Şiir ve Edebiyat Dergisi’ni çıkarmaya. O yıllarda yeni dergiler fazla yoktu. 2000’li yılların başında yeni dergiler soluk almaya başlamıştı; ama aynı yılın ortalarına gelindiğinde bu kimi dergiler kapanmaya da başlamıştı.
In 2005, we were already in a journey when we first decided to publish Mühür: the Periodical of Poetry and Literature. Then, there were not many periodicals. At the beginning of 20th century, new periodicals related to literature started to breath; whereas, at that very time, older periodicals started to close their eyes to the world and to the world of literature.
Açılıp kapanan kapılar aralığında –ki dergiler birer kapıdırlar ve açıldığında bambaşka dünyalara okuru çekerler- biz yola çıkarken, şiire ve edebiyata yeni bir soluk vermek için çıktık. Gelenekten destek alarak onu yadsımadan, klâsik olanı önemseyen, yeni olana samimi bir şekilde eğilen, canlı, hareketli bir edebiyat ortamı hazır etmek için yola çıktık. Güdük metinler toplamlarını, çiziktirmeleri, görsel oyunları bir kenara iterek yola çıktık. Adını Mühür olsun istedik çünkü Mühür izi kolay kolay geçmez. Bir kalıcılığı vardır yıllar geçse de. Belki Süleyman’ın Mührü değil; ama yayınlarımızla mührümüzü basmaya kararlıyız.
Between the gap of openning and closing doors, as each periodical is a door which you can enter to a new dimension when it is open, we have started to walk step by step to enable a new and better point of view to the poetry and literature for those who read us. We have started to this journey in order to stand-by the traditions, care about the clasical aproaches, sincerely support the new points of views and to build a vivid and active environment of literature. We have totally rejected incomplete gatherings of texts, drafts and visual games that deceives people. We have chosen “Mühür*” (the Seal*) as the title because no one can erase a Seal as it can not be washed away with ease. Permanence is its characteristic no matter how many years would have passed away as each dying year only makes a Seal more valuable. Maybe it is not the Seal of David; however we are determined to publish it anyway.
Sonuç olarak, süreç değişerek ve genişleyerek bugüne geldi. Gelinen noktada kabımıza sığamıyoruz. Hep daha iyi ve net iz bırakmak için okurlarımızın karşısında boynumuzu eğiyoruz.
The course of our journey came to these days passing through many changes and now it is wider than ever but in the basics, we still follow our principles. At the point where we stand now, we are overjoyed and we want to emphasize that our inner world is much more wider than what it seems to be. We are with our readers so as to impress them with the magic of the world of literature. Readers and us... We are one of akind.
2008 yılında başlayan kitap yayıncılığımız da dahil yayınladığımız her kitap kendi içinde yazılı ve görsel medyada ses buldu. Sese ses verildi. Dağıtım ağıyla bugün daha da geniş bir çevreye ulaşan Mühür Kitaplığı, çıtasını her defasında yükselterek irtifa kazanmaya devam ediyor.
In 2008, we have started to publish books and our each publication is reviewed by both written and visual media. Wide spread distribution web made Mühür publications reach more and more individual each day. We are elevating with our quality and our altitude is keeping on rising.
